Collected Data and Usage
The Sinolec Site
Sinolec may observe your activities, preferences, and transactional data (such as your IP address and browser type). We use this data for the sole purpose of fulfilling your order requirements and enhancing your shopping experience.
The Sinolec Site uses "cookies" and related technologies to help you customise your online experience and in our electronic communications with you. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies and related technologies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you customise Sinolec pages, or register with Sinolec, a cookie helps Sinolec to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information and return user log in. When you return to the Site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Site you visit.
The Sinolec Site and Sinolec’s products are not directed at children. If you are under 18 or otherwise would be required to have parent or guardian consent to share information with Sinolec, you should not send any information about yourself to us. As required by law, if a person under 13 submits information through any part of a Sinolec Site and we learn the person submitting the information is such a child, we will attempt to delete this information as soon as possible.
When Sinolec May Share Collected Information
Sinolec Affiliates, Vendors and Suppliers. Sinolec occasionally works with affiliated third parties, vendors, distributors, and suppliers. To the extent it is necessary for these groups to provide their products and services to us and provide products and services you have requested, these third parties may have access to or process your Personal Information.
Payment Processing and Shipping. Sinolec may share your information with it’s payment processing suppliers and shipping companies in order to facilitate your order. Personal Information that is collected through a Site may be used and/or disclosed to these third parties in order to enable us to process your order.
Trusted Shops Trustbadge. Following an order, the Trusted Shops Trustbadge is incorporated into this web page in order to display our Trusted Shops trustmark for buyers and the eventually collected reviews, as well as the Trusted Shops product offer.
In balancing the various interests, this serves to safeguard our legitimate prevailing interests in an optimised marketing of our offer. The Trustbadge and the services advertised are an offer of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Köln.
Whenever a Trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file which contains, for example, your IP address, the date and time of retrieval, the data volume transferred and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the retrieval. This access data will not be evaluated and will be automatically overwritten seven days after your visit to the page.
Other personal information will only be transferred to Trusted Shops if you decide, after completing an order, to use Trusted Shops products or have already registered for their use. In this case, the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be secure, therefore, we cannot ensure the security of any information you send to us and you do so at your own risk. If Sinolec learns of a security system's breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using this Site or providing Personal Information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues.
Sinolec do not store any payment information on any of our servers or as paper records making a data breach less harmful.
When you provide Sinolec with Personal Information, we may communicate with you using the information you have given us to provide you with information we think may be of interest to you as permitted by law.
